Insulin Pumps NZ Ltd is an independent owned business providing specialised diabetic products and care for patients. We are company that really does know and understand insulin dependent diabetes, as a majority of the team involved are Type 1 and/or specifically trained to manage diabetes. We employ two (Type 1) diabetes nurse educators and certified pump trainers. Our team of 4 have accumulated 23+ years experience in Pump therapy and offer a specialised pump service that is second to no one.

Justin Walker (Director)
Justin Walker started on Insulin Pump therapy more than 10 years ago. It didn't take long to realise the benefits of being on a pump and how much easier it was to control diabetes in a busy life.
Justin's passion for helping others managing diabetes goes back a number of years, firstly in a general interest and volunteer capacity joining groups for people with Type 1 diabetes and leading a support group for pumpers. A change of career was inevitable as small amounts of contract work for Smiths Medical International (manufacturer of the Deltec Cozmo Insulin Pump) eventually led to full time work. The exit of Smiths from the NZ market opened up an opportunity to found Insulin Pumps NZ Limited, and Managing Diabetes PTY Ltd a few years later. Justin has now completed more than 280 patient pump starts over a six year period and is regarded as a leading expert in Pump Therapy.
The highlight for Justin working in this field is the contact with people from all walks of life whether it be assisting at various children's camps, an invaluable experience for children living with the condition, or witnessing the positive change in those transferring to insulin pump therapy.
